Here at Greenbank we have the rivers North and South Esk on our doorstep, providing a choice of fishing throughout the spring, summer and autumn seasons.

Entering the sea just north of Montrose, the River North Esk is 35 miles long. By contrast, the River South Esk is in the region of 46 miles long, entering the sea at the Montrose Basin .

In addition to the Rivers North Esk and South Esk we have the River Lunan and Rescobie Loch a few miles from our home, both of which also provide excellent local fishing.

For those of you who prefer sea angling, a number of angling charter boats operate from Arbroath harbour (15 minutes from Montrose) and various rock, cliff and beach marks between Montrose and Arbroath.
